I was invited to be the Director of Photography for a small project from someone I assisted on his shoot and did set Photography the previous year. The project was for the F*it Club's 48 Hr Film Fest.
I borrowed two other DSLR Canon Rebels from friends, brought some lights for interior shots, a field recorder for audio and went for it with the help of a friend the showed up mid shoot! The first cut had to be under 5 mins due the challenge rules and it honestly didn't make much sense or do justice!
Fast forward some time, I was contacted for some pickup shots on the project! Charlotte Purser Arnold did a full cut and since Audio is something Im comfortable with I decided to attempt to fix it using Adobe Audition, at the end it made huge difference and got submitted into The Strand / Nitehawk Film Festival.
And this is the final result from such a fantastic experience!
This was my first time shooting a film and handling all technical aspects mostly alone! Setting up of lighting, trying to match three cameras, two with stock lens and pulling focus on the main camera without peak focus or a monitor!
I'm an Interdisciplinary Freelance Artist based out of Manhattan NY with a degree in Computer Graphics.
The past 6 years I've been evolving from being a Nightlife Photographer which I did for over 5 years to working on tv commercial shoots, music videos among oth !
Currently focusing on Cinematography and Editing!
